Four ensuite bedrooms with super-king beds can all split to accommodate up to 8 guests. The property is double-glazed, has under floor heating throughout and is fitted out to the highest of standards. Features include schist stonework inside and out; sandstone flooring through all the living areas and bathrooms; home automation; top of the range kitchen; double rain head showers; media room (50” plasma) and double car garaging. Landscaping by Chelsea Flower Show Gold winners, Doug and Trish Waugh. Complimentary use of a secure wireless network is available throughout the house.
Food and provisions can be provided for your arrival for a $25 fee on top of food costs.
Activities in the region include Taupo itself, only 15 minutes drive away, Rotorua (50 minutes), Mt Ruapehu ski-fields (1 hour 15 mins), fishing in Lake Taupo, and exclusive fly fishing for Dunalistair House guests on private waters in the region. Scenic Helicopter flights can be arranged from Kinloch. And of course there is the golf – The Kinloch Club, Wairakei International (15 minutes), Taupo Centennial (20 minutes) and even Cape Kidnappers is a great day trip.
Kinloch is historically a quiet seasonal holiday destination for New Zealanders, with a full time population of no more than 300. There is a village store, two restaurants and a cafe. The atmosphere and ambience of Kinloch itself is very peaceful with a beautiful marina with some extremely exotic boats berthed. Kinloch is an ideal location to base yourself for a central North Island vacation or short break.
